e have two prayer chains, the Telephone Prayer Chain which has been operating for quite a number of years, and the email prayer chain, our CyberChain, which has been in existence for about eight years. For both, prayer requests originate through the church office and/or the pastor. In order to be activated, permission must first be obtained from the individual or family for whom prayer is requested. Care is taken to make certain that private information is kept private, and that nothing is said that the prayer recipient does not want said.
The
Telephone Prayer Chain currently needs more callers, that is
persons who are available during the daytime who are willing to make one or
more phone calls to pass along the prayer request. The CyberChain
(email) is activated from the church office or from the pastor who notifies one
of several other people who are available when the church office is closed. An
email is then sent to everyone on the CyberChain. Of
course, each prayer chain member then prays for the individual(s) for whom
prayer was requested.
